We are in the peak of bonfire season now as we continue to enjoy the dry weather and the outdoors. Many of us have fond memories around a fire whether it is camping or in the backyard. Here at the Co-op we have some fire and outdoor essentials to make it easier than ever to enjoy your time with nature and loved ones.
Firewood is now available in bundles at the Snohomish Co-op and is perfect for a backyard fire or a weekend at the lake.
We also carry a large amount of fire starters options.
These fire starter options are easily ignited and high heat to get a powerful and easy start to your fire making it less time consuming. Having to light your kindling and cardboard over and over is tedious and frustrating. These options burn significantly longer than cardboard and catch easier than the modern cardboard that has lots of plastic in it. Give these a try and you will see how easy it should be!
Another option we have is the golden fire quick start gel.
This is a great option especially if you are dealing with a breeze. It is made from an Ethanol gel that is odorless, safe, cleanburning, and smokeless. You simply apply some gel compound to a specific area you wish to light and then place a mah or ight on the gel and it will catch instantaneously. A benefit of the gel is you don’t have to deal with the ash that you get from paper and cardboard. Another benefit is that the fire starter stays attached to the logs or kindling rather than sometimes falling away with other options.

Who doesn’t enjoy the scent of a freshly lit match? Matches are always a good option to have and to keep on hand and with our easy light options, they are just as viable to light your fire as a lighter is! The duraflame are long handle matches.
We also have the popular lighters which have child safety features and adjustable flame control.
A problem we deal with while we are outside enjoying the ambiance of nature is the insects. Here at the Co-op we know all about that and carry a couple options for dealing with that!
This is our tiki torch with citronella oil. This ingredient is the common ingredient found in bug repellents and sprays due to its highly effectiveness and natural properties. Not only are the torches fun and aesthetic but they will help to keep your area bug free!
For smaller areas, like in a covered porch or patio or on a picnic table, we have some citronella candle options available in multiple colors! These candles are long lasting and very effective!
The bug zapper is also a great option we carry at the Co-op that is effective for up to a half acre area! It effectively attracts and kills bugs. These include a mosquito specific attractant as well!
